How It Works

It's pretty simple. Just follow the app's prompts and upload your resource's qualifications, training, experience, and supporting documentation to the database, request to have the records inspected, and one of our inspectors will verify that the resource meets all the requirements per the PNWCG VIPR contract. You can then download a copy of your Verification Worksheet and you are good to go. You can also use our Redcard Generator to make your Incident Qualification Cards. It's that easy. We aim to have resources inspected within 24 hours of the inspection request.

Getting Started

Begin by creating a user profile at the Sign up page. By default you will have no roles but you will be able to add resources. Your roles will be added manually by the Site Administrator based on what type of role you request: Employer or Records Inspector. The roles are siloed so you cannot use the same email as both an employer and a records inspector.

Add Resources

Go to your employer Dashboard and click the Resources icon.

Employer dashboard

Next, click New Resource and fill in the form with your employee's information.

Employee Photo. The employee photo you add will be used for the redcard if you choose to use our redcard functionality so make sure the photo you upload is a clean, professional headshot. You will have to crop the photo so it fits properly.

Region. Choose the region the employee will be inspected for. If under a VIPR contract you will choose Region 6.

Employer. By default your company name is populated in the form. You can change that to another company name if you like.

Fitness Level. Choose the appropriate fitness level.

Employee ID. This is whatever numbering system you use to keep track of your resources. You can leave it blank if you don't use a system.

Association. If you belong to an association such as NWFA or NWSA add it here.

Number of Seasons. Enter the number of seasons the resource has been carded. VIPR requires color coding on redcards to distinguish Number of Seasons. By default it is set to 0. Change it to whatever number is approprite and the color will be applied to the redcard.

Agreement Type. Select the agreement this employee is under: Water Handling, EMTs, Fallers.

Notes. The notes block is for you. If you have any information you want to remember about this resource.

Add Qualifications

The next step is adding resource qualifications. Click the ADD QUAL tab and add the appropriate qualifications. Add all the qualifications for the resource in order. For example, FFT2, FFT1, ENGB. Note: choose Fireline Safety Refresher Only only if your do not have any other fireline qualifications. This qual is for drivers and other support personnel.

Taskbooks. All qualifications other than FFT2 will require a taskbook. The VIPR agreement requires 3 successful evaluations along with the taskbook to be qualified. Combine the taskbook cover, signature page, and 3 evaluations into one PDF file and up load that(Make sure you retain a copy of the complete taskbook). This may take some work if you have multiple employees, but you will only have to do it the one time. Contact us if you need help with this step and we can provide assistance for an additional fee.

After you click submit and add the qualification, a dialogue box will inform you of the training and additional documentation you must upload for the qualification to be verified.

Add Training Record

Click the ADD RECORD button and fill in the required information including certificate. At this time each record must be uploaded separately. You can use the same certificate if it included several classes. Important Reminder: RT-130 and Work Capacity certificates must be issued by an approved R6 MOU Training Provider.

Add Experience Record

The PNWCG require 3 successful evaluations with a total of 14 days on assignment for each qualification. Click the ADD EXPERIENCE button and fill in the required information. Combine the evaluations into one PDF and upload it using the UPLOAD EVAL button. Again, this may be time consuming and we plan to change the functionality to allow for adding multiple individual files sometime soon. Contact us if you need help with this step.

Upload Identification Card

All resources are required to have a valid government issued identification card to be verified. Click Upload Identification to upload the card.

Request Inspection

Once you have finished adding qualifications, training, experience, and supporting documentation click the Request Inspection button and this will alert IRL inspectors. If you are using an Association inspector you will need to contact them and let them know you are ready for inspection. Once the inspector verifies your records and is satisfied that you have met all requirements they will verify you and you will see "VERIFIED 2023" or current year under the employee photo. Your Verification Worksheet will also be signed and dated by the inspector and available for you to download.

Request Inspection

Click the VERIFICATION tab to acess a printable version of the Verification Worksheet. The inspector must upload this file for you to have access. This does not happen automatically to prevent accidently overwriting the current worksheet. If your employee is showing verified and there is not a record available contact your Association record inspector.

Redcard

The VIPR contract requires contractors to produce their own Incident Qualification Card(Redcard). You are welcome to use our redcard generator. Just visit the redcard page by clicking the REDCARD button and click PRINT. The redcard will be populated with the inspector signature and needs only be signed by the employer, then folded and laminated.

Master Record

If your employee provided you a master record as additional documentation it can be uploaded to this page. We do not provide the functionality to generate master records but are considering adding it in the future.

About Us

MyIQS is a project of Incident Response Lab. Our vision is for a user friendly Training and Experience database open to contractors throughout the nation that will save them money and simlify record keeping and records inspection.

Our application automates much of the inspection process making it easier for employers and inspector to identify which records are needed or missing, speeding up the inspection process.

Our goal is to have all inspections complete in under 24 hours from the time of request.

Currently IRL holds a MOU for records verification under the R6 VIPR water handling agreement. We expect to have a training MOU by the end of the summer.

There will be no fees for entering data into our training and experience database, only an annual fee for maintaining the records. Employers will have easy access to all of their records, and they can give access to their resources if they wish. Resources will easily be able to print a copy of their master record or transfer their training record should they change employers or join an agency.

We are also building assets management tools that will help contractors keep track of vehicles and equipment status and maintenance logs. These tools will make it easier to document mobilizations and plan crew changes.

If you want to find out more about these tools we'd love to hear from you.
